Looking back at 2014 with Rajan Mahtani

,
 ,
Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is one of the most eminent personalities in Zambia who has dedicated his career towards the development of this motherland. Being the chairman of Finance Bank and the owner of Zambezi Portland Cement Factory, most of his actions are towards offering employment to the locals and establishing better living conditions for them. The year 2014 was an eventful one for Dr. Rajan Mahtani as there were numerous occasions where he was targeted by a group of conspirators, but every time he surpassed the obstacle and regained his fame.

.
The year witnessed some of his remarkable achievements such as Ndola Housing Project, Zambezi Portland Cement Factory and globalization of Finance Bank Zambia. From the perspective of philanthropy, Rajan Mahtani took the initiative of honouring the veterans of war by depositing K 50, 000 in a bank account which could be used by the senior citizens who had fought for Zambia’s independence. The most remarkable achievement of Rajan Mahtani came in November when he announced that his bank is now a public limited company and would be listed on the Lusaka Stock Exchange as well as London Stock Exchange’s Alternative Investment Market for the purpose of share trading. December 15, 2014 would be a day to celebrate as well because FBZ will start its operation in Malawi.

However, 2014 did take something really precious from Mahtani. The year witnessed the demise of former President of Zambia, Michael Sata. Sata was not only one of the most prolific leaders of Zambia, but also a close friend of Mahtani.

Looking back at 2014 will always remind Mahtani of the challenges that he had faced this year along with his ability to overcome harsh situation at times.

The news around Zambia has taken the side of amusement as every day or the other there are people who are continuously publishing negative news against the Finance Bank Chairperson, Dr. Mahtani. While the news made its best attempt to ensure that the readers start believing Mahtani as a corrupted person, the well-wishers are keen to know the basis or evidences on behalf of which such content has been published. At the present, there is no certain evidence which highlights that this published news holds any concrete evidences to insist that Mahtani is behind some conspiracy. Moreover, this is not the first time that Rajan Mahtani has been targeted by a group of conspirators. Over the past few months Zambia has seen a lot of weird and imaginative stories where Mahtani’s involvement has been highlighted. However, with the blessings of the All Mighty he has always been successful in overcoming this adverse situation.

This time the limit has been pushed to its maximum potential and a group of investigation are rigorously looking for clues whereby they can trace the conspirators behind this malicious attempt. With so many development projects around Zambia and a favourable position of the Finance Bank of Zambia, it would be very interesting to find out what reaction does Rajan Mahtani takes in regard to this event. He has defeated conspiracies earlier, will he be successful for one more time?

Mahtani begs forgiveness: Sign of a gentleman

According to Lusaka Times, it is being revealed that the Finance Bank Chairman, Dr. Rajan Mahtani, has issued a statement where he has begged forgiveness from the Finance Minister of Zambia, Alexander Chikwanda.

Dr. Mahtani has often been portrayed as a controversial billionaire, however, the truth is that this person has always thought of developing Zambia. Some time back, he was convinced by the cartel that his involvement in the group is going to take Zambia to a greater height as the present Government was not effective enough to deliver quality results. But with time when Mahtani realized that he was moving ahead in the wrong direction, he was quick to accept his involvement and immediately begged for forgiveness.

Rajan Mahtani has been a pioneer in Zambia. His contribution as the Chairman of the Finance Bank of Zambia Ltd., and the owner of the Zambezi Portland Cement factory has not only strengthened the economy of Zambia, but has also offered the locals with a hope to become a developed country very soon. Various employment programs and child education projects continue to pass under the consent of Dr. Rajan Mahtani. It is only this time that Mahtani found that his association with the cartel will not be good for Zambia and hence, he was quick to accept his fault.

As far as his other operations are concerned, the Finance Bank bagged upa profit of US $ 42 million for the current year, along with making a remarkable development in Zambia with a 90% increase in the number of ATMs and 20% increase in the number of bank branches. This is left a very scope for the opposition to exploit the loopholes of Rajan Mahtani and associate him with any other conspiracies sooner or later.

Rajan Mahtani marks a new beginning for prisoners

For prisoners who have been suffering in prison cells with various diseases and consequences can now afford to take a breath of relief as Prison Fellowship now focuses upon improving the existing state of prisons in developing countries. The vision has been laid by the Prison Fellowship Chairperson, Dr. Rajan Mahtani, who is also the chairperson for the Finance Bank of Zambia Ltd.

In his plan to improve the present status of prison cells in Zambia, Dr. Mahtani is looking forward to offer a safer life to the prisoners by way of eliminating the hazards of HIV and Tuberculosis. The ideology is to promote a better life among the prisoners and allow them with a chance to transform themselves from “a danger to society” to “agents of change”. The whole arrangement was discussed by Rajan Matani at a dinner party which was hosted in honour of the Prison Commission’s founding President. The event can be marked as the beginning of a new era where a chance to the transform life of the prisoners and their children is being given.

One of the most impressive statements that came from Dr. Mahtani remarked, “These volunteers working hand-in-hand with the prison chaplains have seen many whose lives have been transformed from being a danger to society into being agents of change.”   This clearly highlights the level of confidence which Dr. Mahtani has in this project and moreover, it can be regarded that this philanthropist is back again with one more step towards innovation and development inZambia. Gordon Loux, Prison Fellowship International President, is also happy with the flow of development in Zambia’s prisons.

In light of the above news, it can be regarded that the people of Zambia and its administration is operating on a harmonious scale where everybody understands their role and level of dependence in the economy. The pioneer in this development once again is Dr. Rajan Mahtani.
